The End Times events and when they will happen has always been a difficult study. Like the Bible
tells us (Matthew 24:36) "no one knows the day & the hour." But, I do believe that the Bible reveals to us what to
look for when the End is near. One of the best ways to study the End Times is to read what Jesus Himself told us to look &
watch for. A couple of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Matthew 24 & Luke 21. Basically in these chapters the Desciples
are asking Jesus when the End is near what are we to look for, or what are the signs? Jesus then lays out to us what will
happen & what to look for. Who better than Jesus Himself to explain & layout to us what will happen & what to
look for when the End is nigh.
There are many things that have to take place for the End to be near. Many of which have not been
fulfilled until just this last 60 to 70 years. That is why we can say that we are literally the first generation of people
that can say that it is possible for Christ to return in our lifetime! But this page focuses on one of the Last things that
Jesus Himself told us to watch for when His return was near. These things are Cosmic Events in the Heavens (sky).
First it is important to understand that Cosmic Events in the sky also happened at Jesus's Birth
& Death. When Jesus was born the Star of Bethlehem led the wisemen to the manger. Did you know that the Star of Bethlehem
was actually a Planetary Alignment that created the brightest Star in the sky! Jupiter (also called the Father Planet), Venus
(also called the Mother Planet), and a Star called Regulus all aligned in the sky to create, from Earth, one bright Star in
the sky. The Star Regulus is what the Ancients called the Star of the Kings, and was studied & followed extently by the
Ancients. Even more amazing is this alignment of Jupiter, Venus, and Regulus all happened in the constallation Leo which is
the constallation of the Kings that is shaped like a Lion! Remember, the Messiah was to come from the House of David, and
the Tribe of Judah. We know the symbol for the Tribe of Judah is a Lion! Just another fact, even in the Heavens, that Jesus is
our Messiah. So we can see that when Jesus was born there was a miraculous event taking
place in the sky. The Father planet Jupiter, the Mother Planet Venus, and the Star of the Kings Regulus all aligned in the
constallation of the Kings Leo (Lion) to form the Brightest Star in the sky that led the way to "God made into flesh"
our Messiah Jesus Christ! Amazing!
Next we can see that also when Jesus was crucified on the cross there were also Cosmic Events taking
place in the sky. When we read Luke 23:44-45 it says "And it was about the sixth hour (12 noon), and there was darkness over
all the Earth until the ninth hour (3pm). And the Sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst." There
has also been many Theologians during the time of Jesus (Thallus, Tertullian, Esubius, Letter from Pontius Pilate to Tiberius,
& many more) that also recorded in their writings about this 3 hour darkness, or eclipse of the Sun during the exact
same time of the crucifixion of Jesus. They said the Moon was full & it was the color of Blood. There are two types of
Eclipses. A Lunar Eclipse and a Solar Eclipse. There is only a Full Moon the night of a Lunar Eclipse. So when Jesus was on
the Cross there was a 3 hour period where the sky & the Earth went dark and there was a Lunar Eclipse of the Sun with
a "Blood" Moon that took place in the Heavens! When Jesus died on the Cross He was the final blood sacrifice that cleansed
all the sins of the world away past, present, & future. Then we read Mark 15:34 which says "And at the ninth (3pm) hour
Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying E-loi, E-loi, la ma sa-bach tha-ni? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God,
why hast thou forsaken me?" So when the Lunar Eclipse of the Sun was at the end of the 3 hour period, that is when Jesus cried
out to His Father "why hast thou forsaken me." Maybe this is that period of time when God turned his back on His Son. It would
also be the same 3 hour period that the Blood Moon blocked out the Sun causing darkness over the entire Earth! I believe
it is a smart conclusion that Cosmic Events took place in the sky at both the Birth & Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Now we read one of the last things Jesus Himself told us would be a sign, something to watch for
when His return was near. When we read Luke 21:25 it says "And there shall be signs in
the Sun, and in the Moon, and in the Stars, and upon the Earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the Sea and the Waves
roaring." Again, there are many signs that take place when the End is near, but we know for a fact that some of the last events
to happen will be Cosmic Events in the sky that will take place because Jesus Himself told us it would happen. And yes,
there will be rare Cosmic Events happening in the sky involving the Sun, Venus, Stars, & the Moon, etc. in the next couple
of years. Should we pay attention to these events? I think so!
In conclusion, I believe that when the End is near or happening there will be Cosmic Events in the
Heavens. When Jesus was born, there were Cosmic Events! When Jesus was crucified, there were Cosmic Events! So, I believe
when Jesus returns, or calls His church home, there will also be Cosmic Events. It is hard to ignore the words of Jesus Christ.
When Jesus tells us to watch for something, we as believers should listen!
