"VIRGIN ON THE ROCK"

Please read this entire page and you will see that Jesus Christ is the Messiah!

There are well over 300 Old Testament Messianic Prophesies fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The most interesting of these fulfilled prophesies are those that Jesus had no control over, or could not of had somebody else carry out for Him, but yet everything still happened according to prophesy. Many of these prophesies would not be humanly possible to have any kind of control over, proving that Jesus did not simply try to fit His life to what the Old Testament said about the Messiah. There are at least 16  Messianic Prophesies fulfilled in the last 24 hrs. of Jesus's life. It has been calculated that the odds of one person being able to fulfill these prophesies is 84 then 123 zeros after that! So one must ask themself, how much control does a person have over the events surrounding and after their death?

*Place Of His Birth*
O.T. Prophecy:     Micah 5:2
N.T. Fulfillment:     Matthew 2:1-6

No one, including an "Impostor Messiah", would have any control of where you are born! There were actually 2 Bethlehem's that existed during this time. One in the Territory of Zebulun (Joshua 19:15), the other in Judea, Bethlehem Ephrath. This town was so small and insignificant that it was twice omitted from a catalog of towns in Judah. Plus Caesar ordered everyone to return to their hometown to list for tax purposes. So thats why Joseph took Mary to Bethlehem because this was his hometown. Again, what are the odds that Caesar would just happen to make this order, at just the right time in History, causing Joseph to take Mary to Bethlehem, where there the Messiah was born just as prophesied! There are so many elements to the story that could have changed this outcome, yet just as Micah 5:2 says, it happened in Bethlehem Ephrath.

*Of The Seed/House Of David*
O.T. Prophesy:     II Samuel 7:12-14 & Jeremiah 33:14-15
N.T. Fulfillment:     Luke 1:32 & Matthew 1:1

What are the chances of an "Impostor Messiah" being born in the right town (small insignificant village of Bethlehem), and of the right tribe (Judah), but still even the right Ancestral Family......King David
Coinsidence? I think not! No one could possibly have control over these outcomes.

*Born Of A Virgin*
O.T. Prophesy:     Isaiah 7:14
N.T. Fulfillment:    Matthew 1:18-25

Again, an "Impostor Messiah" or anybody else has no control over who your parents are to be (lineage of David, virgin birth). Some try to say that Mary did not conceive through the Holy Spirit, but that Jesus was an illegitimate child. An angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream and revealed the truth to him. This is why Joseph understands the situation that Mary was divinely with child because her child was to be the Messiah, the Savior for all mankind. I don't think God would have directed the 3 Magi across the desert to the exact place, at the exact time to welcome an "Impostor" into the world. They welcomed "God Made Into Flesh", the Messiah. This as well as all the other Messianic Prophesies suggest that Jesus was not illegitimate, but the one true Messiah born of a virgin from the seed of the Holy Spirit (God). We are all born into sin because when Adam sinned in the Garden it is through "Man" or a "Father" that sin is passed down through the family to us all. Jesus did not have an earthly Father. He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and a virgin mother and this is how Jesus was born sinless and remained that way until His death. God created blood in the flesh of only two bodies. When he created the first man Adam he breathed life and blood into his body, Adam's blood was not from an earthly Father, but a Heavenly Father. Jesus also did not have an earthly father since Mary conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit (God), so Jesus blood was not from an earthly father either, but a Heavenly Father. This is why Jesus is sinless and also referred to as the "Second Adam".

*His Coming Announced By A Forerunner*
O.T. Prophesy:     Isaiah 40:3
N.T. Fulfillment:     Matthew 3:1-3

This is one of the most amazing of all Messianic Prophesies because it involves somebody else besides Jesus Himself. It was prophesied that there would be a voice cry out in the wilderness that would prepare the way for the Lord (Messiah) preaching the repentance of sins. This clearly is John the Baptist. John the Baptist Father Zechariah was told by God his wife Elizabeth, even in her old age, would bear a son for this reason. John the Baptist could have grown up with other ambitions in life or done many other things with his life......but he didn't. He ended up doing what was prophesied, preaching repentance of sins, and preaching the coming of the Savior, the Messiah which he later baptized (Matthew ch. 3). Leonardo Da Vinci's painting "Virgin on the rock" depicts Mary & baby Jesus and Elizabeth & baby John the Baptist. Remember the next time you look at this painting what you are seeing is the fulfillment of a Messianic Prophecy. This is a unique Messianic Prophecy in the sense that it required something to happen that did not involve Jesus directly!

*Anointed By Spirit/ A Rod Out Of Son Of Jesse*
O.T. Prophecy:     Isaiah 11:1-2
N.T. Fulfillment:     Matthew 3:16-17

Here we have in Isaiah prophecying that a rod will come forth out of the stem of Jesse (King David's Father) and a Branch shall grow out of his roots, and that the spirit of wisdom & understanding, spirit of counsel and might, spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord will rest upon Him. Jesse is the Father of King David which is the lineage that the Messiah was to come from.  In other words this passage is telling us that the "Spirit" will rest upon the Messiah that was to come from the House of David. In Matthew we read how after John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan the Holy Spirit descended down in the form of a dove and landed on Jesus (signifying the Holy Spirit), then the Heavens opened up and God Spoke. This fulfilled the Old Testament Prophesy of the Messiah coming out of the House of David (Jesse) and the "Spirit" resting upon Him. Jesus had no control over a descending dove or the Heavens opening and God speaking, it was meant to be.

I'm going to list some of the prophesies that took place during the last 24 hrs. of Jesus life. These are things Jesus would of had no control over, nor could anybody else have done it for Him!

*He Was Crucified With Thieves*
O.T. Prophecy:     Isaiah 53:12
N.T. Fulfillment:     Mark 15:27-28

There is no way Jesus or anybody else could have controlled how the Romans crucified Him or with who. The Romans could just as easily crucified Jesus alone, not with anybody else. The Romans could have known it was prophesied the Messiah was to be crucified with thieves and purposely crucified him alone, but it didn't happen that way. Jesus called Himself the "Son of God" the "Messiah" this is why they wanted to kill him so bad and through their anger to crucify Him for blasphemy it still happened as prophesied in Isaiah 700 years earlier.

*He Was Gave Vinegar To Drink*
O.T. Prophecy:     Psalms 69:20-21
N.T. Fulfillment:     Matthew 27:34

It was impossible for Jesus to of had any control of what the Romans gave Him to drink, if anything at all! And again, the Romans could have known this was already prophesied and not gave Him vinegar. But again everything happened just as prophesied.

*His Bones Were Not To Be Broken*
O.T. Prophecy:     Psalm 16:10
N.T. Fulfillment:     John 19:33,36

Like we have already said, there is no way Jesus or anybody else had any control over how the Romans crucified Him. When the Romans crucified people, towards the end they would break your legs to ensure death. Did they realize that by breaking His legs or any bones would have shattered the written prophecy, but again everything happened as prophesied through the power of God.

*Buried In A Rich Mans Tomb*
O.T. Prophecy:     Isaiah 53:9
N.T. Fulfillment:     Matthew 27:57-60

We know that the Romans could have done anything with the body of Jesus if they really wanted to. They could have taken Him off the cross and exposed of the body in a number of different ways. There were parts of the ancient stoning grounds were they would dispose of some of the dead bodies of the crucified. But a "rich man" named Joseph of Arimathaea (believer in Jesus) begged Pilate for the body of Jesus. Remember Pilate only released the body of Jesus to him after he was assured by his Roman Centurion that Jesus was in fact "Dead." Then Joseph of Arimathaea was permitted to bury Jesus in his own tomb. It could have been that Joseph of Arimathaea may not have been there when all of this was taking place. Several things could have happened to alter the outcome of events. But once again everything happened as prophesied.

*His Side Pierced*
O.T. Prophecy:     Zechariah12:10
N.T. Fulfillment:     John 19:33-37

Jesus had no control over whether they would pierce His side or not. But they did once again fulfilling prophecy.

*His Hands And Feet To Be Pierced*
O.T. Prophecy:     Psalm 22:16
N.T. Fulfillment:     John 20:27

The Romans did not use spikes to nail everybody they crucified, some people were hung or tied to the cross as all part of the suffering process. Because of the hate they had for Jesus they nailed Him to the cross and instead of breaking His legs they pierced His side to ensure His death. They could have easily broken His legs or done whatever they wanted, but it didn't happen this way.  All that happened once again fulfilled Old Testament Prophecy of the coming Messiah.

These are a few of the Old Testament Messianic Prophesies that Jesus fulfilled yet He or no one else had control over them. The Messiah was to come before the Temple was destroyed (Genesis 49:10). The city of Jerusalem was completely destroyed by the armies of Babylon when the Jews went into captivity and exile in 586 B.C. But 133 years later, in 453 B.C., Artaxerxes Longimanus, King of the Persion Empire, gave the Jews the commandment to go forth (from captivity into the land of Israel) "to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem". If you read in Daniel 9:24-26 the prophesy is 69 sevens or 69x7 which is 483 years. We know that the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem was 453 B.C. and that Jesus was "cut off" in 30 A.D. If you start at 453 B.C. and go foward 483 years like the Book of Daniel says, you get 30 A.D. which is the year Jesus was crucified! It leads up to the exact date Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey during Passover and was rejected by His own people and crucified 4 days later! Jesus had no control over when He was born, and it just so happened He was born and able to fulfill all prophesies before the destruction of the Temple just as prophesied.

Every time I study the Messianic Propecies, I discover something new. There are so many interesting Biblical facts  showing Gods people that Jesus Christ is and only can be the only Messiah Son Of God. Below are over 300 Messianic Prophesies starting from Genesis to the end of the Old Testament with the corrosponding New Testament Fulfillment. God Bless.
